On Monday January 18th Defined Clarity, LLC, a Philadelphia-based interactive branding agency, launched the website 'PhillyFriendsCare.org.' The goal of the website is to concert relief efforts for Haiti, serve as hub of information and support system for those affected by last week's devastating quake and most importantly show that the people of Philadelphia can come together as one to serve the time-sensitive needs of Haiti's people.
In order to maximize participation, PhillyFriendsCare.org has teamed up with the Made Fresh Project to host an event at NorthBowl in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia on Saturday January 23rd, 2010. The Made Fresh Project had originally intended on having a listening party for the anticipated release of their first compilation in a new series. Due to the circumstances regarding Haiti, the listening party will now also serve as place to collect donations for the Haiti relief effort. We are encouraging people to come and listen to some of Philadelphia's finest talent while also contributing clothing and non-perishables that can be directed to the people of Haiti.
